Aligned (London, 2024)
Clay, Glaze, Resin
H48xD20cm
"Aligned" builds on the themes of the Alpha and Beta series, exploring how fragmented parts can come together to create something whole. This sculpture reflects a journey of healing and balance, where chaos begins to find order and disconnected elements unite in harmony. It captures the fragile yet powerful moment when we move from disorder toward clarity, showing that wholeness is not about perfection but about connection.
The individual pieces of "Aligned" are not forced into rigid patterns but instead find their place naturally, creating a form that feels both delicate and grounded. Transparent resin provides a stable foundation, symbolizing lightness, clarity, and the quiet strength found in unity. Negative spaces—the gaps, overlaps, and unseen connections—are just as important as the physical forms, reminding us that absence can hold meaning as much as presence.
This work reflects the journey of self-discovery, where there is no tension between present and future, but instead a continuous flow of growth, freedom, and harmony. Each element tells a story of searching, evolving, and aligning with oneself, the universe, and all of existence. It invites us to see imperfection as a source of depth and resilience, where even unrelated parts can come together to create a cohesive, enduring whole.
"Aligned" can be interpreted as a human figure—a form that embodies the delicate balance of being, where every piece, whether visible or unseen, plays a vital role in the ongoing dance of integration and becoming.
